...for a timing belt change at the Jeep dealer we have an account with. I went and priced everything out online (moparpartsonline) first and printed out my cart so I would have a list an a price reference. Of course the only thing they had in stock was the belt but thats another story. The total was more than my total from MPO and when I asked he said "oops, I got two water pumps on the order". "Do you want new or reman?" I said "reman" and the total came out to the same as on MPO. Since every other part price was consistent it leads me to believe that MPO is selling remanned pumps. Not that it's a huge deal, I just don't remember getting the option as I filled my cart.

The ETA on the pump is by the end of Aug, the computer says they just released 130 (remanned) pumps.

Im going to do the job without the tool since I am so gangster.

If the pump that I ordered is a reman. it's going back! I have never had much luck with any remanned. I want a pump that will last until the next timing belt change.

I called westbury (mopar parts online) - and Doug assured me the waterpump was new and not remanufcatured...

I've been ordering everything through those guys, if you place your order and call Doug (internet sales)...he'll match anyone's price and only charge 10.99 for shipping.

$65.34 for shipping looks very stiff unless you did it overnight. Shipping on my SunCoast was ~$40 and I bet it weighed more than your parts.

It was not overnighted to my knowledge (what's the point at this junction? ) and it weighed only 10#. Mind you it was shipping AND handling which means they charged and extra $30+/- to pack the boxes with reused UPS envelopes unless you apparently called your order in. Next time, I'll pick the phone and call a human (using more $) to pay less...
