Saw this on the Coleman site:
Image
Lists for $204 complete w/fairing. Saw one in store this weekend and it looked pretty sturdy.

http://www.coleman.com/coleman/colemancom/detail.asp?product_id=2224-710&categoryid=500

Quote:
• Luggage basket adds storage space to your vehicle
• Easily fits to most roof rack systems
• Wind faring to reduce windnoise
• Fast and easy installation, assembles in minutes
• Powder-coated steel frame resists weather exposure
• 44" x 39" x 6.5" basket
• Due to large size and/or weight of this item, a shipping charge of $30 applies

If u picked it up in store obviously u'd save the $30 shipping fee.

Looks almost like the one on OVERSTOCK for 59 at least pretty close to it. I got one of those and it works OK

It's significantly sturdier than the OS one which I know some people said was to lightweight.

The way the sides run down around to the floor of it I am sure that it is. Of course I stood on top of mine and it held me so I am not worried of course I will never put my tire up there and trust it , but for camping gear it will do, plus mount some lights on it

Plus I am a cheap skate, just ask my ex!

Slightly different from the BVG Adventure Rack.

Image

Notice that the BVG sideposts are bent more at 90 degrees giving it more cargo space. The Coleman has more supports underneath.

OVERSTOCK is selling this rack for $64.99. You can buy four of these for the price of one Coleman.

I just ordered my overstock.com basket today for $59.99 plus a couple of bucks for shipping. WOW! You can't beat that with a stick. Even if it does wear out...like he said you can buy 4 of those baskets for the price of one in any other brand.

I recieved one for christmas and i put it on that morning while it was 40 degrees out :P love the look and its incredibly sturdy, i used the the mopar cross rails...my rack was a steal at 150.00 from overton's magizine, and the mopar cross rails were what killed that deal but the engineering behind them is incredible! you'll see nothing but two thumbs up from me on that rack!

I guess I couldn't put one of those on my Renegade, and keep the stock rack huh?

Yes you can. A couple of members have done mods to fit the rack inside the Reny basket.
