Glad you're alright bro, that looks worse than that bronco II i flipped at 50ish

it's not a real good feeling rolling one, but if you could bottle that ride up, you could make a million bucks in the first day operating a safe version it as a carnival ride

sad to see my favorite KJ SFA go out like that, but i'm glad it's operator came out in good shape

 ROLLOVER ROLLOVER ROLLOVER! (As we say in Army training for these situations). Shame to see another KJ safety test, GLAD to see it was successful and un-traumatic for the operator! My thoughts are for you and your continued health (make sure you got that noggin checked, things can sneak up on you!). Thanks for the pics and the effective reminder for the rest of us to be safe and non-complacent.

Wow, everyone thanks for the, words, concern, offers etc...
I have to say, I am a car nut and I love my KJ more than any of the 17 cars I have owned. Of the four vehicles I have (or had) at my house anyone will tell you I always picked the KJ to drive. As much as I enjoyed El Scorcho and as much time, sweat and money that went into it....even though it makes me a little sad, I have no problems letting it go knowing how bad it could have been.

I went back to the crash site and put a few pieces together. It looks like I hit the deer on my passenger side bringing him under my rig and yanking my tires to the right. I went into a sideways skid hitting a tire on a concrete water underpass which sent me into an airborne tumble (luckily letting me fly over the embankment) the deer was released into the watershed and me after clearing the watershed area I landed and rolled a few times up hill smashing a small tree and eventually landed on the other side of the uphill area upright.

Luckily I had my All J rack which held all my tools underneath it in the cargo area keeping them from flying into me. I did have a pick, shovel, ax and saw on top of the All J rack but they were strapped down and held in place. A few items are unaccounted for and were either stolen by the tow truck company employee or lost in the trees, shrubs, mud. After walking the crash site for an hour in the rain I gave up.

On my roof rack I had a high lift jack which took no damage, and a flat Geri can gas can which although looks like it took a hit still was full of the four gallons of gas I had in it. Also a tent and chair that was on the roof survived with some scratches and abrasions.

I will be seeing a doc this week just to get my head checked out again but I am feeling good and my arm with all the cuts is healing fine. The big goose eggs on my shins that hit the dash board are almost gone. I did get some cuts on my scalp and there was some of my hair on the headliner but that all is healing pretty fast too. I feel like one lucky feller and am thankful to my wife and mom who showed up to help me in short order. Also am lucky to have so many friend (many whom I have never met) on this board who have offered to help me out, made phone calls and have just been there for me. Thanks to you all.

Here are some of the pics
I hit this sign and I think I caught my passenger tire on the concrete behind it.

I flew over this

Deposited this poor guy on the other side.

Rolled probably two more times by the time I hit here

and then one more time after this.
I left this souvenir.

If anyone is going to be passing this area on the I 10 which is 2 miles south of the interstate in west Texas and would like to stop here and look for something for me I will give you a reward if you find what I am looking for. Contact me if you will be in this area and want the details.

Okay, all, thanks again. I still have another Jeep so I will be around.

Laters, Ernie

yea, glad your okay. I know what you mean by not remembering. I swirved to avoid a dog, hit the curb a nd tossed my ford ranger into a small nestle of trees and onto the hood. Needless to say I walked out just like you and treated my only injury(minor cut). I on the other hand was a mile from home and it was like 2am. So a buddy of mine picked me up and brought me home. By the time I was leaving home again to go back down, cops rolled up and had a little talk with me. Its real scary, watch how it makes you a better driver, im telling you.
