I went to install my my spacers, clevis ring and rear isolators and my 4.5 A-arms won't release!? I tapped just like it says on the instructions and it won't comedown? Therefore the spacer install was a fail.

Now what? Confused?
What do you mean they won't come down?
Never read the instructions on install so no idea what you are trying to do?

Most times it takes one wack from me, if Chris is helping it takes three or four for him but he's a little wimpy :-)r

I always like to watch the person I am doing the lift for when I get the BIG hammer out and go smacking their KJ! Their look is worth the price of the admission! :ROTFL: :ROTFL: :ROTFL:

I have a small 5 lb brass hammer that I use. Since it is brass, I can tap the threaded end of the ball joint, and not worry about boogerin' up the threads. That is only if one good whack on the side of the knuckle doesn't do it.

One of the ONLY advantages of being 2WD. Don't have to worry about CV angles.

Al's 4.5's will be here next Tuesday. Been working around that issue long enough. Time to fix it for good. :pepper:

Als Arms are a fantastic upgrade, even look good under the KJ too! Now if i could just get the darn thing to release! I tried it again last weekend and nothing! I whacked at it for about 30 mins and nothing, maybe its time I look for a brass hammer like LTT here :pepper:

Takes a while but patience and some muscle will do it. Careful how/where you have it jacked up also, you may have pressure on the bolt.

Before I knew, I spent 30 minutes. Stepped back for a smoke, observed the angles involved readjusted the jacks and on the first smack it fell off.
