I was changing the thermostat today and removed the air intake hose, that goes into the air box, to make room and noticed it was rotting away from oil. Didn't even have to loosen the clamp to pull it off. So it is a no go to reuse for the time being. My question is has anyone replaced that section with a non EOM piece? I was going to do the EHM anyway and see no use getting a factory piece that has the CCV vent hose connection.

Unless you fabricate some sort of tubing on your own, factory replacement is your only option.
I know of no aftermarket parts for this.

I had the same problem--my hose rotted and separated where it connected to the turbo intake, from the underside--where the oil collected. I was surprised that it was shot after 4 years and 46K miles.

The OEM hose costs $51.50 from the dealership. I did the EHM and hope to never see this issue again. Now I'm just concerned about the CAC hoses... Visually from the outside, they seem fine, so I'm going to roll the dice a little longer until I have a reason to really get in the engine compartment.

i had the same problem with my hose at 54,000 miles, a hole rotted right were the oil collected from the ccv puck. i just replaced with an OEM hose, too many bends in the intake hose to bother trying to make a home made one unless you have a friend thats a fabricator.

I bit the bullet and bought the $51 piece from the dealer. At least I now know where the oil splatter was coming from. I was thinking I had a bigger problem.
