Hi all. Been lurking around here for a few days and figured I'd get around to saying howdy and introducing myself. I bought my first Jeep ever last week, an 06 KJ Limited. From the minute I drove it I have been thinking of all the possible mods I could make. I'm not a "car guy" so this site is invaluable to a guy like me with limited mechanics skills. A wealth of helpful information to be sure! I'm learning though. First mods I intend to make are a towing hitch for pulling my boat and possibly a roof rack for carrying some of my other fishing gear. I'd like to put a brush guard or something on the front as well with a hitch there too for attaching a rod holder/cooler setup, or other accessories. Anyways, let me stop before I write a book on all the mods I could come up with. I guess this Jeep will be like the pontoon boat I used to have for catfishing- everyone always said "Man you got this thing rigged up, but it all works!" when I took them fishing. :JEEPIN:

Welcome to LOST
What part of the world are you from?

And like boats, motorcycles, and women
there is always something you can buy for them! :ROTFL:

Never mind I see where you are from and nice boat by the way. Setup real well. Nice looking cats as well! Some nice sized ones for sure.
Use to catch them down on the Ohio after the bars closed

Thanks for the welcome Tommud. I guess you saw my site lol. The boat I have now is just an "in between" boat until funds allow for another pontoon boat. Had to sell my Suntracker pontoon to catch up on bills last year. I only paid $1500 for the boat on the site. It's 30 years old, but still runs great. There are a few stress cracks in the hull and the transom is getting pretty bad, but hopefully I'll be upgrading in the next year or two. Since I have the Jeep now I plan on selling my 1990 F150 tow vehicle. Only 82,000 miles on it and the body is in great shape so I should be able to get a couple grand at least for it at least. I don't foresee any problems using the Jeep as a tow vehicle for my boat once I add the hitch, even with the relatively low towing capacity the KJs have. The ramp is only about two miles away from me. Even once I get another pontoon it should be fine. Toons are big, but don't weigh nearly as much as one would think. It would be a problem at highway speeds though due to wind resistance, but I don't have to worry about that with the ramp so close. Been looking at the photo section on here and there are quite a few setups I like. I just wish I weren't so tight on money all the time. lol.
