Well work has been slow so today i thought: Hey why don't we put a LI 4x4 club together?
We already have 8 people here:
VMKJCRD, DoubleK, LI KJ, Luigi, BennyMigs, Infernicus, Jeepen it Real and also JeepJunky.

So I was thinking that maybe we could open a facebook account with a club name where we can post our pictures, mods, and adventures. Also maybe when spring arrives next year we can do a JeepBQ (BBQ) at a park and rides on the beaches. The club doesnt have to be just for KJs and KKs, it can take an Jeep type. Maybe we can also get custom vanity plates like:

I also know a guy that does work with vinyl so maybe if someone is pretty good with photoshop we can maybe get some club vinyl stickers.

So lets start to hear some ideas.

I've been thinking about this too. I was thinking of getting the LOST JEEPS decal from Pixeldecals, but have Long Island beneath it, instead of the Northeast. Like another subchapter or something of LOST. I think it's a good idea, and like you said we have a mini crew already. Now I just gotta get out wheeling more often and we also need to stop breaking these Jeeps!
We also should think about next year getting another group together and securing the beach passes for NY State. That was a cool meet and greet last year, and maybe this time around the beach would be open, unlike last years when we were denied.
I'm in Peter. LI :JEEPIN:

Benny, I knew there was one but I really didn't know their club name.

If this fly's the first thing we have to do is choose a name.

Very true Luigi it could be something for every Jeep type. That plate was just an example of what we could get.

Once you do that we can go further with this. I also work in marketing and my office has a whole creative staff. I can speak to one of them about doing the vinyls if we decide on a logo of sorts.

Let me know.

That would be great but what about the weirdos that don't have facebook accounts **cough cough** :ALONE:. A logo or some type of a sticker like with the club name would be nice also.

So anyone have any ideas for a club name and a logo???

actually, surprisingly my Ex-Boyfriend is the leader of the LI Urban Off-Roaders. :dead: :grim: :furious: I would not like to be any part of that. everyone is right, we need to think of another name. how about LOST LIJ or LOST LI Jeeps or LOST4x4 or just LOST LI. i have experience with photoshop and printshop. i will think up of something. every time i have an idea ill throw it out there an post it. and i agree with Luigi, whats with only the kj's! :goink:

I think Long Island should become the 51st state. Actually it's own counrty......

It has nothing to offer except dead lock traffic and sand

something i read today that made me think about what you wrote Jeep Dawg

from wikipedia
"Long Island had a population of 7,448,618 as of the 2000 census,[2] making it the most populated island in any U.S. state or territory. It is also the 17th most populous island in the world, ahead of Ireland, Jamaica and the Japanese island of Hokkaidō. Its population density is 5,470 inhabitants per square mile (2,110 /km2). If it were a state, Long Island would rank 12th in population and first in population density.

Both the longest[3] and the largest island in the contiguous United States, Long Island extends 118 miles (190 km) eastward from New York Harbor to Montauk Point, and has a maximum north-to-south expanse of 23 miles (37 km) between the northern Long Island Sound coast and the southern Atlantic coast.[2] With a land area of 1,401 square miles (3,629 km2), Long Island is the 11th largest island in the United States, the 148th largest island in the world, larger than any U.S. territory except Puerto Rico,[2] and just smaller than the state of Rhode Island (1545 sq mi). Nine bridges and 13 tunnels (including railway tunnels) connect Brooklyn and Queens (and thus Long Island) to the three other boroughs of New York City. Ferries connect Suffolk County northward across Long Island Sound to the state of Connecticut. Two of New York City's major airports, La Guardia and JFK, are located on Long Island, in Queens."

it would be funny slapping that sticker on the back of your truck

you need to lay off the crack pipe son... :banghead:

:goink:

Those were all the ideas from Dean, John, and Rachael.
The first one was mine.

I just posted them on the license plate to give everyone an idea of what it would look like.

Anyone else have ideas????

Or is this just a "lost" cause? :ALONE:
