I had been looking for a while for an onboard computer monitoring system like the scan gauge 2. Had pretty much settle on that until my trip to the Badlands with 1996xj, Rokee, and Incommando. Rokee had purchased an Ultra Gauge and I was pretty impressed with the amount of info available and how small and easy to read the unit was. What put me over the edge though was the price, $60!!!!!!

Anyway, told my wife that is what I wanted for christmas, and instead of christmas it showed up in the mail today.

MY WIFE ROCKS!

info on the gauge can be found at http://www.ultra-gauge.com

Very interested in this. Does it have any incompatibility issues with the Liberty?

I will have to say so far I am just a tad intimidated by the manual, all 42 pages. The interface is simple with just a menu/enter button and a page up and page down. But this also makes it alittle harder to navigate through the menus options (which there are pages of options). Since it has to be plugged into the Jeep to work I am going to have to print out the manual and spend some time customizing what guages I want to see. Things like the tripometer and other distance/ arrival calculating gauges seems to keep going even when the jeep is in park, BUT i have not taken the time to correctly use these items and to fully set up ultra-gauge to talk with my jeep. Right now i am just running on the defalt settings that will change if I get some time to tinker with it this weekend!

Have you had a strange shut downs after installing it. Say sitting at alight and the KJ will just shut off? Backing up and just shuts off? Will start back up but ???
Just wondering

no problems so far. Had an alarm on the device go off, it was something that was factory set (distance traveled for fuel up). Went into the menus and adjusted it.

As far as buying it, the website is the only place I know of and there are others on here who have purchased them with presumably no problems......

Need to take it on a long distance run to really see it in action. So far my weekend was really full and I didn't get a chance to try out any of the other gauges. Gonna try it out in my wifes mitsu too.

Is it wireless, or does it connect to the OBD port?
