 Post subject: battery connection question

got the new optima red top in today. I had to bend the Negative connection from the cable to fit the battery. anyone else have to do this? took me a few times but now works. the lead really gets eatin up when you pull them off...

I put in a yellow top and had to bent the connector a bit
the originals weren't stock Optima's - they were specials for Chrysler

Yep. To the inboard side over near the alternator, right? A gentle bend with a wrench was all that was needed. Mopar Optima != stock Optima physically, but the size and CCA rating seems to be the same or close enough for automotive work. Otherwise it fits like a glove.

Sears P4 fit perfectly, the cables slipped right in with no bending. It almost seemed like it was made to fit the CRD.
