Love those bumpers!!

My wife's KK has the stock 18s and no hitch. A real tire carrier and hitch mount would be awesome.

...and your lift...and your from bumper...and the diesel

I really love everything about this Jeep! But, I want to know as much as possible about the dual fuel tank setup. I would love to work this on my soon-to-be out of warranty Lib. (34,450mi)

By the way, I'm sure everybody wants to know about those bumpers, and how the whole swing-out spare is done.

Willl post some photos of the tank setup as soon as I get home, I am currently on training in Aberdeen UK. so hopefully I get back to SA around next week.

Wow looks amazing. I can't wait to see what Jason from Perkins Performance is going to draw for us. So did you custom build those or purchased? I also love the Sliders. More pics. I hope you don't mind, I'm showing Jason the pics so he can have more ideas.
Great job

Very impressive! I'm jealous of the CRD. I'm hoping they're available in the US again next time I'm in the market.

Uitstekend

Twin fuel tanks on a Liberty, would have never thought to do that.

Great job

These are custom built bumpers, once i get the time I will be taking photos of each item on the car for you guys, i don't mind at all if you copy what i have after all we all KK fans. the only thing I should warn you of is the the standard KK springs are not good enough to support the steel bumper and winch, you will have to replace it. the problem here is it will have to be custom made also. the ones you have on the market it will sag or give you bad ride ( you name it I tried it ), I ended up changing the front shocks just after 5000KM.

The dual tank is an easy fix on the KK, once you make wheel carrier for the spare tyre you will end up with lots of un used space. in my case that was good for a fuel tank to extend the range of the KK, which in turn give me the extra ability for offroad travel and camping without worring about running out of fuel.

Oh man that is bad news, about the shocks. Is it the front struts? I will have on the rear the Bilsteins Shocks and the OEM spring, will the rear have issues also? How did you customized yours?

I am affraid the back spring also will need replacement. all depend on what you going to install on the back. in my case there is an extra fuel tank and steel bumper and wheel (that is alot of weights) the fuel tank alone when is filled up weights around 70kg (35lb). even with the custom made spring I ended up with air lift to give extra support for the spring especially when the KK loaded for a trip.
Down here in SA there are many places who manfacture springs, you will need to find someone who does that. you need to give them an idea of how much weight you need to carry.

Just make some Front and Rear bumper for all of us and you will be a rich man. Once these Pic's get out you might need a patent.

I don't know about the electronics involved in the dual tank setup, but I know how to mount one! I think I might really study up on the subject. I've only had one dual-tank vehicle so far.. but it came that way. ('79 Chevy K10). Did you do yours as a reserve that you have to manually switch to? Or automatically? In the '99 Vette I had, it was 2 tanks that acted as one.

Any more info would be greatly appreciated, as always.

PS: the air shocks are a great idea! That, I CAN do.
