[quote="tommudd"][quote="oddball"]Yeah okay Tom. Trust me when I say IF your friends were allowed to leave, they'd probably come after YOU for sending them into a 1% outlaw club garage.

:dead:

Ironic you mention "words" and "cheap". I was thinking just that after reading your comments regarding sending friends with Harley's to pick up items for you. Then again, I figured you were full of s h it.

Well aren't you just the friggin' MAN claiming to build all your toys. By the way, you don't know s h it about me, and what I've done and or experienced in my life.

Which can only lead me to.. Actually, I"m thinking after reading your posts here, especially this last one which seems to have gotten your panties in a twist (which made me laugh); I'm thinking Pinhead or Cupcake suits you best.

Yea I got Robs lift on. Awesome guy. pics on facebook. soon to be on lost. 2 of his wheel lug nuts broke, not the studs. and his front right sway bar lower bolt broke. other than that, it went really well. just slow with getting the springs compressed with the shock boots in them, a lot harder than with out.

yeah, i dont care what kind of spring compressor you got, getting the junk compressed and assembled can be a pain

the compressor i used for mine used the top plate as part of the compressing rig which made getting the shock stud dang near impossible to get through the stud hole

Well it seems to have warmed up a bit more today than the weather folks thought it would. Time to go outside and do some stuff on the KJ.

My laptop at home has contracted a virus. :banghead: And I knew I had it right away... I clicked on something I know I shouldn't have, but only did it out of haste. It's progressed to the point where it won't let me load any programs at all. The computer loads to the normal desktop view, and then I can't do anything from there.

Geek Squad wants $200 to fix it.

Uh... no. :dizzy:

So, I got the name and downloaded software that a friend told me to use. If that doesn't work, Aaron said he will take it apart once he gets home, try to grab my photo and music files from the hard drive, and then wipe the rest of it out and start over.

This sucks too, because that's my method of job hunting. :furious:

There is a lesson to be learned here people. No, it's not buy a Mac (although it is fact you would have less to worry about being protected by virus infections running The Mac OS). Btw; let's not confuse "virus", with ALL malware. Meaning, no OS is immune to malware (which is a broader category of malicious software that includes Spyware, Adware, Viruses and Trojans - each of which is not the same thing and varies in its severity) .

Now go back and read the second sentence in Jayme's post. One could say if you had a AV (Anti-Virus) software program on your PC (or Mac) this wouldn't have happened. But the real truth is.. NO AV package can possibly protect a computer against the greatest threat to it: *YOU*.

Best of luck Jayme.

Thanks for restating yet again...

Anytime.

Point was, there is a lesson to be learned here and if just one person comes away learning the "truth" factor from this - it hopefully won't happen to them.

Has Aaron posted up a trip report anywhere yet?
Been watching here and Expedition Portal but haven't seen anything?
How did "The one and only" do on the trip, any problems?
