Yeah, I'm pleased with the design too. I've been seriously considering the backbone for a while, but I just might have to go with this instead.

The Guards are optional:
Options include a grille guard for $65, or full wrap around brush-guard for $115.

I think ill like the rear. I like how the edges follow around the corners of the rear hatch. On the grand cherokee they have pictured it wasn't like that. I could go for a tire carrier but unsure if I want to drop a G just for that soul purpose. I'm fine with my beat up stock bumpers.

I'm glad to hear you like the looks of it, even if you don't plan on getting them.

you should see if he can box in the evap canister or fab a skid to go with the bumper. or even seperate from the bumper. i might be interested in getting one of the skids if that were the case.

I really like the front's design, and the increased approach angle/winch mount are really what sell the idea to me. The rear.. I'm not so sure, I dunno if I can justify dropping a grand just for a sturdier, and heavier rear bumper. The front is awesome tho!

Oh, and any chance we could see some designs or mockups for the grille guard and wraparound brush guard?

So is everyone more interested in the front than the rear?
If I can have a vote if you are interested which one would you purchase 1st the front or rear?

I called Jason today, he will be making a 3D Cad image w the grille guard and the full guard, he sad it should be fairly easy to do. I asked about if you buy the set, he will have to get back to me on that. He also said I should have got a few more pics from the rear bumper, so he will send me those two.
Will keep you up to date as soon as I know something else.
Oh, and please let me know what you guys are interested, if the front or the rear, which one is more important to you.
Thanks

Here is the autocad drawing for the front bumper:

For those that actually wheel their KK off-road, having the winch inside the bumper, ala ARB style, won't help, and may actually make worse, your approach angle. When I first saw an ARB installed on a KJ, I couldn't believe how far out it stuck -- it's like having a bench on the front of your Jeep. When wheeling, approach angle is crucial to get up and onto and/or over the obstacle (as well as when coming down off a large obstacle). If I were designing this, I'd want maximum approach angle clearance.

Just my :2cents: .

i completely agree but didnt care to say anything. if i ever have steel bumpers i will get them made locally. would be cheaper, not have to pay a couple hundred dollars each on shipping and ill get what I want in a bumper. however ive spent so much money on my KK and im tired of it breaking so im going to end up getting a budget build XJ as a weekend warrior. i can build a Cherokee to out wheel my already built KK for less then those bumpers are going to cost. the KK will get some kind of tire carrier and im done. the KK will be my DD, recovery vehicle and wheeler when i let someone else drive the XJ or for meet and greets.

Okay, so you guys are saying the bumper would come out to far? I could ask him how much more it would come out, compared to the KK, cause I already feel like I have a bench on the existing KK, I know I can seat comfortably on my current bumper, but that would be something to consider. I do know your wheels would be more exposed. Well, I haven't started the processed and last time I talked to him I asked him to hold off until I figured which to make 1st, but I'm almost thinking if we should not produce them.
I would personally like them, but don't have to have them, I just kept seeing people wanting aftermarket bumpers and not being able to get them, so after I found Perkins Performance, I thought what a good opportunity for us to get bumpers, but maybe there is some reasoning behind ARB not creating bumpers for KK models.
