Last year I drove six hours to get there, traveled between two small tornados and a rain storm that lasted over 4 hours and dumped about 3 inches of rain on the area just to go to this show for the first time. There was so much mud I barely got out of the campground! Took the family including Otto our 90 lbs. boxer. The trails were nothing but slick mud and I almost went over the side of a ravine (darn lockers just spon me sideways slowly towards the edge, saved by a sapling!). Wifey and daughter said "that's it we will never do this again", son said cool dad! and doggie just laid down in the back and looked sick! This is the first and last time I took wifey out on the trail. I had A/T's at that time, I was winched out twice and embarassed myself and the Liberty. I need to redeem our LOST honor! However I did win a trophy for 2nd place in the Cherokee/Liberty show and shine class, despite what the web site sez(it sez I won for longest traveled, I guess they counldn't take a Liberty beating their member's Cherokees!!), I got the trophy to prove it!

I wouldn't miss this show again! Show and shine Sat. Trail ride Sunday. Six hours out, six hours back!

I shall be there both days.

Al

If this show is worth all the trouble Al went through to get to it last year, and he is going to risk it again, than I will talk to the wife.

This is a good show, despite the rain last year, the Jeeps packed the park. I think if gets any larger, the venue will need to change. Saturday was very relaxing, with a tricky tray (chinese auction) going on all day. Real great prizes given away every hour. We walked away with about $200.00 worht of clothes, Jeep chairs, and a Jeep Clock.

The hosting club was great, the vendors where informative, and the trail rides Sunday was interesting to say the least.

I hope to see you all there, and that reminds me I need to book a room, just me and my soon this time so far.

Al

You bet we'll be going, we're only about an hour drive from this event.
Sent in our registration a couple of days ago.
Took us about 4 and half hours to get to the York show.
Met Tammy ( was the 05 parked next to her on Sat.) and JoeJeeper (I think that was his screen name)
Congrats to you guys on your trophies. Good luck at the Jeepfest.
Walked pasted the tent with the Mid-Atlantic bander but did not get a chance to stop by and say Hi.

What package is everyone signing up for? Is the $50 one the better chioce even if you don't get to go on the ride (it says sold out w/ waiting list). I will be signing up today and will look into getting a room at the Comfort Inn.

Try to sign up for both, I was just e-mailed that some Sunday trail slots were opened, so you may want to get in. If not you will be there only for the show and shine on Sat. so go cheap! The fifty isn't worth it for one day.

If you wnat to go on the trail ride Sunday, than the $50.00 is the way to go. If you can't get into the trail ride, than the cheaper option for Saturday only is the way to go.

The $50 fee is definitely worth it, only if you able to get into the trail ride.

Hey Tammy,

Could you please e-mail them back to see if we can all sit together this time? I will bring the tent and LOST banner with me.

Anyone else intersted in coming?

Its a good show!

Al

I only live about an hour from there. I will be registering today. I can't wait to meet some of you guys. Also, the ride to Butler is a great scenic ride. My grandfather used to work for Bantam and at a local rail road yard.

OK - I signed up for it - even before I told the wifey. I don't know what our schedules are, but this sounds like fun. I'll see if we can't make it a mini-vacation for a few days.

Hope to see you there.

Rick

Thanks for e-mailing them for me!!

I think I know right where we will park, as you enter the park, there are a stand of large shady trees, along the roadway, we can park there and be close to the action!
