I'm having a problem with my 2006 Town & Country Touring. It has the 3.8L and I believe the 160V alternator and the stock Mopar battery,

The more electronics and accessories I turn on, the more the interior lights pulse. It started doing this about 3 weeks ago. They don't completely turn off and on, they just dim and bright, dim and bright at about two pulses per second. I can't tell if the exterior lights are flickering on and off as well.

I just tested the battery with a multimeter and I got a 12.58 reading after letting it sit all night. It is 42 degrees outside. I tested the alternator and got a 14.38 reading at normal idle and then a 14.59 reading with all of the electronics, lights and heater on at normal idle.

I can't figure out what the problem what be and don't know where to start looking further than testing the battery and the alternator.

Could it be the voltage regulator? What should I start looking for?

Also, I checked the voltage from the back of the alternator while using a body ground and I also check it at the battery. Both showed that same voltage readings. Does that rule out the regulator?

Check/clean/tighten your grounds? I gotta get to that next week. My headlights dim a little for a second when I move the seat or turn on the warmers.

This is definitely more than the normal light dimming when something comes on like the fan.

I'm going to recheck the grounds. I did check the tightness of the charging wire and the battery wires while I was taking the readings.
