Heck yeah it's addicting! I luckily have reconnected with some of my buddies from high school, and have been biking it up like crazy! We went twice this morning on a trail called Squaw Peak, here's a panorama that I threw together on my iPhone:

And up and the local ski resort, Sundance on Saturday:

BTW, how do you like the Lefty fork? I am most likely going to be getting a job a couple days a week at a bike shop that specializes in Cannondales. The Lefty's have always made me nervous, but I've never really tried one...

i have beat the living snot out of that bike and the fork is solid as a rock (still). my friend's trek forks let him down on his 2010 bike.. and mine is 9 years old with the original fork still taking daily beatings. plus it's very nice because no mud or leaves pack in the area between the fork(s) and tire since it's open on one side to clear out. However it does make the front tire harder to remove.. one large allen bolt holds the hub on instead of the quick disconnects normal forks have. This also limits it to bike racks that do not rely on the forks to support the front of the bike (roof mounts). Also the V in my frame has saved me from not being able to have kids many times on bails and close to over the handle bars.. I'm not sure about the newer lefty's but mine you can only set at a psi.. and have it 'on' or 'locked out'. I know a lot of other bikes with normal forks you can chose if you want 'pro peddle' or 'locked out' or 'completely open' or 'soft' or 'hard' just by turning a knob on the top. Then again my left is 9 years old.

Ok, so I'm pretty sure I just had the most epic weekend involving mountain biking! has anyone every heard of Red Bull Rampage? Here's a link to the sight:
http://www.redbullusa.com/cs/Satellite/en_US/Event/Red-Bull-Rampage-2010-021242830991738

Anyway, it was hella sweet cause we were in the middle of it all. We helped Steve Romaniuk set his line down before he took a huge 45 foot gap that had a landing on a wall ride. It was insane! Here's the video that I took:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwGdZxmF7I0

Here's a compilation of the vids I took on the first day:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iD10xy1OG8

On the final day, we got lucky and started talking with this guy named Nick, come to find out, he started a company called Demon Dirt, which was sponsoring a lot of the competitors. He was a really cool guy and took us up in the all-access area  How lucky can you get?!

Here's some of the better pics:

Sweet backflip I caught.

Hard to see, but that's the Oakley Icon sender, probably a 60 foot drop. The winner, Cameron Zink, did a 360 off of this drop!

Here's the stuff that we were doing. This is my buddy going off a gap called Phil's Fillet.

Here is my setup on the back of the KJ. Thule T2 2" hitch bike rack with my Cannondale on it. The rack folds up nicely against the spare tire. Just had to trim the wheel trays a little bit to slip around the tires when folded up.
Image

and to keep the hitch rack from swaying and rattling, a hitch vice, the best I have tried so far, it's solid!

I'll get in on this

09 X-caliber. Haven wheelset (tubeless of course), Elixir CR brakes, Shimano EBB crankset, setup 1x9 with SRAM x.9 short cage RD, x.9 trigger shifter to match, some other odds & ends.

I dont have an updated pic with the new crankset but this'll do:

Thanks man.

It was a lot less blingy until i did this:

Image

I can do a lot.... but one thing im not comfortable with is building a wheel. And sure enough, i taco'd it at the peak of the rush at the shops. No one had a used wheelset for sale either. I was riding 4x a week and my LBS hooked me up with a good price on the Havens.

If it wasn't the perfect storm, i wouldn't have wheels on my bike that are almost as expensive as the wheels on my commander :ROTFL:

Edit: Best thing i ever did to that bike was ditch the stock Juicy 3's and put on the Elixirs. Made riding so much more enjoyable.

awesome pics and awesome bikes guys!!! Just picked up my 2nd Giant bike (first one bought 16yrs ago, still works!!) but this time the lady and i got some trail bikes, not full on Mtn Bikes, my body can't take that rough riding anymore! i'm sure these will be good enough for us to get on some minor trails and such, more for excercise these days. pics to come in spring when we can finally use them!! she has yet to even sit on hers! bought it the week before the first snowfall, already too cold for her... not sure what we were thinking buying bikes this time of year! owell.

Just as an update: Sold all my mountain bikes, my road bike, and the one freeride bike. Bought a KMX trike instead. Better for alot of reasons. I can ride longer, go over snow/ice without worry, etc. So, are there any other recumbents on here?
