Well I was on the slopes no idea what happend to my key somehow I left one of my pockets open. Little bit screwed at the moment as I called the dealer and would have to have my car towed there and then also the key is around $150. I was looking online and was wondering if anyone has a key that has the remote start built onto it and if I would be able to adapt that to my Jeep. My jeep is a 2005 Renegade currently without remote start. I figured if I am already going to spend an arm and half my leg I might as well explore the option of adding Remote Start. Does anyone know if this is available for a 2005 Liberty?

The remote start is a option, never came from the factory with it,dealer installed item till the KK I believe.

Make sure you have the other key(s) there before they program the new one or any other key's will not work anymore, will start but the engine will die in 2 seconds.

The dealer will have to program them. They have a pin # that they need. My dealer charges $55 for this service if you have the key yourself (I saw the two keys that you are refering to on ebay. They look good. Just have your hardware store cut them). I just ordered one from ebay and need to have the dealer program it since I lost my second key, and you need two to program yourself.
