Does anyone know how to shut off the TPMS?

Your assistance is appreciated.

Catalytic converters are federally mandated too. How many people here don't have one?

I think the only thing you can do is cover the light on the dash and ignore it. AEV or somebody has a chip that you can plug into the diagnostic port and alter the settings for TPMS, but I don't think you can completely turn it off.

TPMS is the most annoying thing ever. If you're too stupid to maintain your vehicle, don't drive. The rest of us have to spend more money and go through more hassle because of the sensors.

Appreciate the input. Feds have ways of messing up almost everything, of course we pay for it....

Next time I change tires I will move the sensors.

After our run to Truckhaven Hills over New Year's I will post a picture.

Like this forum, lot's of interesting information on it.

You can't turn it off! But you can trick it.
If you save one of the sensors, Get a pipe nipple and two end caps.
install the sensor in one of the end caps.
screw the thing together, and fill with air to tire pressure.
Hide it in the vehicle. And your done.

You need to have all 4 or 5 sensors(depending on system) to do that.

The deal on the Explorer web site seems to be a really good solution. Love the creativity. Thanks W9JAB.
