I love my 2006 CRD, but the steering wheel is driving me crazy because the lever that is supposed to keep the steering wheel locked in one position keeps on dropping, with the result that my steering wheel is continually moving up and down.

Has anyone ever experienced anything similar?

Is there a quick fix short of applying duct tape around the steering column. I hate the idea of junking up this car with duct tape, but anything would be better than a floating steering wheel.

You may have better luck by asking in the general section as the steering wheel is not a diesel specific item
