I am not going to tell you how much time I've spent not getting this off :banghead:

This is the connector to the driver's side, rear wheel. Is it a speed sensor, abs, ...?

I mostly need to know how to get it off. The red tab won't push in or pull out.

Thanks.

That is what I have read but it won't budge. Is it possibly in the 'out' position already?

The way it is shown in the pic is the locked position, try a small screwdriver behind the tab for more leverage.

Ditto on a small jeweler screwdriver to help pry it out. Its been a while since I replaced mine for nothing (broken wire), but you may be able to remove the connector sensor from the wheel housing which should give you more wiggle room.

Ok, I got it.
In the first picture of this post you can see a small red hook at the opposite end of the tab. I used the jewelery screwdriver to lift this and the tab slid easily out.

I suppose that there should be a slight angle on this hook so that pulling the tab releases it but it wouldn't for me.

Thanks all. :SOMBRERO:

Nope. I need to rewire the harness for the in-tank lift pump mod. The wheel sensor wires are bundled with the tank wires.

Your tip saved some frustration. The tab came out but the 2 ends would not come apart. I moved the hook and they came right apart.

Thanks.

Thanks for the confirmation. I wasn't sure if anyone else had this issue.
I will post it up in the TECH section.
