Wheeling in NH was a success, we had 5 Jeeps (myself, Tim, Pete, Wayne, and Phil). ~5 miles of trails on the powerlines, lots of mud and plenty of pinstriping on the narrow trails.

GPS MAP:
Image
Follow the colors from Red->Orange->Green->Blue to see the route we took. End of the Blue segment was where we had lunch at the top of the hill.
(for a copy of the GPS locations or overlayed on a map, PM me)

Photos I took from the trip are here:

Great pics Jeff. Had a great time yesterday. The wife is not too happy about the pin striping  That's ok though. I was able to rub a couple out with just my finger, so if I get a buffing wheel for my drill, it will look like new when I'm done. Can't wait to get out again. I'll have my pics posted tonight.

I'm not really happy with my pin striping, either. I haven't washed the mud off to see it, yet, but I'm scared to!

Hey Guys, I had a good time too. I will say this about the pin-stripping. Everything I've been told here about it, is that it adds character to you and your libby. :D I have to say though, at least I can say it wasn't keyed. I'd be a bit pissed, if that happened.
I didn't get many pics due to the fact that I was entertaining to girls in the mud. :D They really enjoyed that part the most. I really enjoyed the king of the hill and the rock climb. The best part was the look on their faces as we were going up and could see nothing but SKY  Now where did that trail go???? I do have a few pics but, I am banned from the camera at the moment becuase my fiance has some of her wedding dress pics on it and for some odd reason, I'm not allowed to see them. :? What gives with that??? So, as soon as I can make a folder on the computer for her to save them to.
Oh, she did say that you guys were all very nice and that she did have a good time.
I can't wait to do more trails again soon. Just an FYI, when you guys get your lifts, I highly recommend Al's custom upper control arms. Man, what a difference they make. I did notice it yesterday on the trail as well as on the alignment specs and driveability. Well worth the money.

Pete, sorry we couldn't get your attenna tuned in. Maybe we can set up a time to take a better look at it. In the meantime, check all your grounds, to include the radio ground too. I know that with more time, I can get that Firestik tuned in for you.

Tim, nice flex on the car. That was fun. I have to say, your hood looks much better now too. :D

I added one of the better satellite overlayed images into the gallery - it doesn't really have any defining features or road names anyway. I was going to lock the google-maps version, since it has all the GPS coordinates, but it actually looks pretty terrible, so just PM me if you really want to see it.

That was fun guy's,as for the pinstriping the way I see it I'm going to have my lib for a long time & it's bound to happen anyways so I helped the process  just get a good buffin & it'll take care of it or at least hide them for a long while at least no one got any damage thats the main thing even though I did kiss a tree

on another note can I download the whole folder to get my pics up ? I use image shack or do I have to go 1 by 1

I can't wait for the next one hopefuly it'll be real soon & my nephew can't wait either

Adds character :-) I'll complain about it, but I'll be right out there doing it again the next time...

I think imageshack is one-by-one, that's why I don't usually use them for much. Flickr has a multi-upload tool, I think, as do some others. I can put your photos up with mine if that is easier.

I tried it, but it goes into the section where it's missing the satellite data, so it looks sorta green and blurry. It is pretty neat, though, especially when it's on roads.

How were the trails on the other side of the road down by the powerlines?

I missed that part as my son was getting kind of skiddish after alot of skid plate scraping during the first half of the day :)

The other side of the road just kept getting tighter and tighter. We ended up going up on one of the hills to the right, had lunch, tried to tune in Pete's firestik, it started raining and everyone was pretty much ready to go. The trail back that way were basically motorcycles only and/or bikes.
You didn't miss much there.

You did miss an exciting recovery, though. As with every other LOST trip I've been on, I got stuck :-P

This time it was on a stump. I got the stump wedged behind my right front tire just inside of the rock rail. Continuing straight was impossible (and being tugged straight would have ripped the rail bracket off. Getting tugged to the left to get off the stump would have ripped the whole rail off. No recovery from behind, as I was the last one coming down and the stump would have been stopped by my axle anyway.

So we jacked up that front corner, piled some rocks under the tire and set up a strap pulling left. I drove off the jack and made it out fine. No damage, even underneath where the frame was resting on the stump. Every time we go out I'm amazed at how much these little jeeps will put up with.

I ran it through the car wash last night, the pin striping really stands out now  Hopefully the wife won't be any more upset than she already is  Oh well, it was worth it  The car wash I took it to is going to start doing full service detailing in a couple of weeks. I asked him if he thought he could get it out by buffing, and he seemed to think so. We'll see what happens. The only good thing is that you can't really notice it until you are right on top of it. Hmmmm... maybe I'll start parking down the street now

Pics all look GREAT! Someone write a lil blurb up so I can add the ride to the web site ok?

BTW - I hate to be the one to bring this up - but one of the posts said someone had piled up some dirt at the entrance...I'm thinkin that was to keep 4x4's out?! Aren't we supposed to adhere to that whole "tread lightly" and "respect the land owner" thing?

I'm just asking - cuz I don't want us to get a bad rep and a rebel group who rides where we please. Does anyone know who owns the land? Or if we could/should get permission to ride there if you all think it's work going back there.

It's a powerline, so I assume it's owned by the state. I think we were all under the impression that the dirt mounds were to keep people from dropping off their old cars and old kitchen appliances. The other side of the road had no barriers at all (except for how narrow the trails are being a deterrent).

I have to be honest - I have yet to see a fully sanctioned offroad trail anywhere in new england. They all seem to be "nobody has complained" or "no barriers are up", but never "there's a sign that says Jeeps Welcome"
