For those in the NJ, NY, CT area... ARE YOU READY FOR SOME SNOW!?!?

Im going to be a little disappointed if it ends up being just a "dusting".

We we supposed to get some, but then the Low Pressure decided to b*tch out and head north east of here. What a f***ing rip off! Now it's just sprinkling the stuff.

Denver hasn't even seen any real snow in like 2 months

I feel bad for you. Its snowing like crazy here and they just announced that NJ is in a state of emergency. I just got back from the store and the plows haven't even touched the roads yet. Theres a good 3 inches of snow and slush. I had to use 4low to get up my hill.

Theyre saying up to 18 inches here. I need to come up with an excuse to get out.

18 inches of snow and counting. i'd be out driving if it wasn't for the state of emergency and the fact that i don't feel like digging my truck out of the 8 foot drift its under. lmao

We got over a foot of snow here in Albany NY where i live......but i work 25 miles north in Saratoga....so while heading up i had the beast in 4lock with esp "off" because the roads were not yet cleared...of course everything was fine. While getting off the exit i put her back in 2wd but kept esp "off" I came to a complete stop and while making my right hand turn i gave her a little gas....to my surprise the rear end flung sideways and everything was perfect  the reason i find this so amazing is because i hear people complain that the esp kills all the fun and i mean i could hear the esp kicking on but to be honest i kept her sideways and was totally caught off guard at how i could keep her under control by bleeping the throttle and steering accordingly......seriously i had it sideways for a good 100 feet but never got nervous because the machine was doing its part and was completely composed.

may have to wait a few years more before i make my Rubicon upgrade....never realized how fun this jeep could be......lift? hmm :juggle:

I ended up doing something similar today. I found a parking lot that hadnt been plowed yet and decided Id have some fun. I was "snow drifting" around the whole parking lot, one big circle. Like Nick, 2wd with esp off was surprisingly, kinda perfect. It only kicked in once i got a little too sideways. But now that I think about it, it might be kinda difficult to do donuts. I could be wrong though.

Donuts are easy peasey you just gotta know how to do them right. turn the esp off and you'll be doing donuts like no tomorrow!

 Sounds like NY area got nailed by the storm that hit us last week. 24-36 inches over two days, but nothing unlike what we're used to  I love Utah! That meant 3-4 feet of snow up at the resorts!

2 things:

1) Have had to go into money-saving mode. ie: Sell all the roof gear.
2) Moving to Indiana on Sunday. Yea, kind of a sudden thing. Got a job offer from Toyota's plant in Princeton. Definately can't refuse the pay and benefits they're offering right now. Better than currently making $0.00 an hour. (my current job is pretty seasonal). So Midwest, here I come!
