Or was it made for some other purpose?

i heard ppl think it was supposed to be used for newspaper and other office items, i believe its meant for a CB :]

Installed the antenna today, I'm glad I got the 3' and not the 4' Firestik. I actually got more clearance then I wanted, and am thinking about possibly about ditching either the quick disconnect or the HD spring. I guess I'll see how I like it after a few days and decide.

Looks good remdawg.

Here's where I mounted my CB handset (off a home-made bracket):

and then the antenna out back:

I ran the antenna wire through the grommet behind the rear tail-light and routed it so I can leave the cabling installed all the time even though I only install the antenna to the mount when I'm going off-road.

Sorry that I have been away from the forum for a while and not able to help with those who recently installed CB mounts.
In case anyone else is looking to mount to the taillight as well, are the part numbers and place I happened to order from (was the cheapest I could find at the time).

westcoastmall.net
1 x SS204A Adjustable SS vertical door jamb mount (SS204A) = $18.99
1 x FS464A8A-B 4-Foot Single Mirror Mmount CB Antenna Kit BLACK (FS464A8A-B) = $42.99

The antenna wire can be neatly run through the taillight under the vehicle to the front and through the firewall.
I followed the tow hitch wiring instructions on the mopar website. Just needed a few tie wraps and some sealant for the holes you will make in the rubber grommets.

Wow that mopar guide is really helpful... I'll probably just go through this when I get a towing hitch hooked up then I can kill two birds with one stone.

I got the same antenna but it flew off of the car when I was doing about 85

Is there anyway that I can mount it on to the roof so I won't fly off during flight LOL
