Fueled the Libby the other night drove a few mile then the shuddering/surging started. It idles and will freely rev when not in gear. Have changed the fuel filter and added 911 treatment. short of draining the tank any ideas? :banghead:

Thanks

When mine starting doing that a few weeks ago, it was my MAP sensor.

"Sam's Noob" posting has all the directions you need to pull it and clean it. Of course, it assumes that your hoses to and from the turbo are in good shape. If you leave it the way it currently is, you'll get a CEL in a short while.

All in all it takes about 20minutes.

Worth a look.

yeah - but if it correlates with a fillup - it won't be better until you get clean diesel in there.

- drain some of the fuel out of the bottom of the filter and let it settle for a couple of hours - do you have water in there? - junk drifting around? does it smell like gasoline?

for water - Powerservice also helps a lot.

find a station - that pumps a lot of diesel on a regular basis - they tend to have cleaner tanks.

Finally got a CEL, P0299. Check the CAC hoses and found the inlet (turbo Side) split on the bottom side. Also found a lot of oil in the hose. Guess I'll be doing the ORM and Elephant hose mods also.
