Lookin good Redrock08!

How do you like your Daystar Lift? Been thinking about it for mine as well actually.

Can I ask how tall your Jeep is (ground to the highest point/antenna)? Curious about garage clearance.

Thanks...
I will check that height to the top of the antena. The tires gave me 1 inch and the lift gave me 2. The Spacers do move I little and make some noise in some situations but I turn the radio up so I can't hear it. Like your Jeep also. How do you like the sky slider?

From the Floor to the Antena top is 79.25 inches Tall. I had to add 1.25 inches to the height for me standing on the trailer hitch. :JEEPIN:

Very interesting indeed RedRock - thanks, looks like you'd still fit in most (if not all) of the garages here....

I love my skyslider. it DOES have it's downsides, but overall, it's really quite nice. It's the next best thing to being totally topless.

Did you have to put in longer wheel studs for those 1/2 inch wheel spacers?

This is a very long story. I will give the short. had to cut original studs shorter so I could mount the spacer nuts. WOW that was fun. Did you know that it took 6 cut off wheels to get through 20 studds. FUN!!! NOT!!! Then the wheel spacers new studds have a different thread pitch so I have just plain tapered lug nuts on. I need to find some lug nuts to finnish it off correctly. With all the said, if I would have used the 1 1/4 spacer I would not have needed to cut my original studds. But the wheels would stick out to far for my liking on a Liberty.

Sweet Kk, RR! It has made me reconsider lowering mine now that I know what tires will fit on my 18's. Were the spacers required to keep from rubbing? If so, will the 1 1/4" spacers work for that application? No way I'm cutting wheel studs.

Another thing that may be typically overlooked, what about your speedometer. In my XJ you just need to swap the speedo gear in the tranny. Is this the same for the KK?

I ran around the city 3 days before I got the wheel spacers on. The only rubbing I could get was the Front Driver side when full lock to the left. If I backed off just a bit it did not rub. I was amazed myself that it did not rub more. I have cut the plastic inner liner at the 3 O Clock area back a inch up to get rid of all rubbing. Now I have NO Rubbing at all in either direction.
I will check for the exact wheel spacer needed to use to not need to cut the studs.
My speed O is showing 1.5 miles slower than the radar side of the road signs tell me.

Thanks, RR. I did see your other thread regarding your trimming after the fact. I'm planning to follow in your footsteps so to speak.

Hey, RedRock. Were you able to find out if you have to cut the studs with the 1.25" spacers?

I'm sorry I've come down with a nasty cold and have not asked the person who was figuring the spacer that I wanted. Give some more time and I will post it. Sorry for the delay.

Sorry, I have been out for a while. The 1.5 will work and you won't have to cut any studs.
