New question! What do I do about the cracks where the doors open? Are these not a problem or should I tape them up?

Well me and a buddy used hercaliner on his grand cherokee, we did it in my garage during summer,i got to say this stuff worked great, still looks good and that was two years ago, although we recently touched it up due to him rolling his jeep on its side and he got 2 new doors so he just picked up the pint size and did the two new doors and then with the rest touched up the other areas where it was a little thinish and/or weather wear. i borrowed a little bit two when we did it the first time for my stock sliders(basically worthless) and its still on there. In the end its up to you but i'd say he hasnt spent more than 120 bucks on it all :jester:

ps the gas door i think i say pass

I have to ask. What did you do with the area where the door opens..the small strip showing when open? and for that matter, just inside the door underneath it when open? did you hit those areas too? can you show us a pic with one of the doors open? thanks...looks good.

Ill snap some pics tomorrow in the daylight.
Despite what some others said I went with the duplicolor bed coating at 8 bucks a can it seemed like a good idea and can be touched up easily and AFFORDABLY. Prep is really the key. I degreased sanded with high grit degreased sanded with lower grit for deeper scratched then degreased again. Its held up good so far I love it. As for the cracks in the doors I simply taped the inside of the door near the carpet closed the doors and sprayed. That stuff will naturally make its way in there. Mine has a straight line of coating on the inside because I opened the doors up to touch everything up.
If you have any more questions I would be glad to help. I'm not a pro though :D

Okay, your Libby is actually really sick. I would really like to know more.. such as.

Which grit sand papers did you use?
Would this stuff work well on the plastic bumper covers and fender flares?
How rough, and strong is the finished product?... be honest lol
AND i would LOVE to see lots of Pics of close ups of the door areas (in and out)

Very Nice

I like the stuff I used the texture is good. The more coats you put the better the texture. It is tough! My door got singed and there is nothing to show for it. I started with 100 grit the 80 then 60. I WILL get those pics up tomorrow. If I don't just shoot me a pm

I like it. I have used that Dupli color before and it works good. I would love to see some picts of just inside your doors and see how you painted/bedlined there.

And for the plastic I would ask tjkj he said there is more prep needed but I didn't get that info. Next I want to do my grille. Maybe the roof? We'll see haha
