Hello, i'm interested in "INSTALLING" some accent lighting under the seats/dash for a cool effect at night. just a little something. now, the question im asking is, can i hook this lighting kit:

and then simply plug it into my aux 12v? as opposed to having to drill holes at all?

Scaro added some extra lights similar to what you want to do. He tapped into a wire in the center console. This allowed for dimming with the dimmer switch on the steering column.
