I had no problem with the diffs or the xfer getting water in them. We also did a very deep stream crossing on that same day and no problems there either.

The carpet getting dry was fun. I had to use my shop-vac and just wait it out. This happend the Tuesday after Christmas so riding around with the windows down was not an option.

And as far as the strap hint well I had just taken it off before I went into this hole. We were done with the trails for the day and we were just goofing around. I had been through this hole before so I didn't even give it a second thought. I was just taking my time since there was a ton of ice that I was breaking with the front of my Jeep.

Best way to keep the inside dry ifyou get stuck in water is to wrap it around the tire or up to your roof rails. If your windows are up, our KJs are sealed prety good, as soon as you open one windo, water will rush in everywhere!!! Then call on the CB for someone to jump on top and get the strap for ya!

So wait, where are the breathers for the manual tranmissions? Anyone have pics of (1) the joints where they were extended, and (2) the end of the stock breathers?

Thanks.
