Exhaust on a V6???!!!

I see a lot of exhaust mods on here, even dual exhaust. From my experience any V6 sounds like a turd with exhaust. What am I not getting? Let me in, just don't understand. Looks I can understand. How does it sound? Any youtube.com posts?

Sounds is dependent on how you do it and what you use. The Liberty's actually sound really good with a nice exhaust system. I used a Magnaflow muffler and custom 2.5" piping and it sounded great. Others use the Flowmaster Super 44 and love it.

I'm happy with my Thrush welded muffler. Definitely doesn't sound like a turd. There are a few youtube videos of kjs with aftermarket exhaust. Diggerfreek posted two videos of his super 44 on two separate topics. All you have to do is search.

Nice description, but you must never have driven a 350z Roadster with the top down. 3.5 V6 and the sound alone is pure bliss! :twisted:

+1 on the Libby's exhaust sounding good with the Super 44, the stock on the other hand does sound like a turd haha.

I have a Flowmaster Super 44 Off Road and absolutely love it, the sound is great and is far from sounding like a turd. Turns heads when you accelerate too ;]

Just finished installing a Super 44 on mine about an hour ago. I can't get over the difference!

Found it on Ebay for ~$60/free shipping. Plus $15 for 3 clamps and an extension. One of the best, cheapest mods to date!

You guys will have to forgive me for my ignorance. I have been reading on the blogs about the Flowmaster and I just bought my first Jeep, 2011 Liberty. What am I looking at as far as what I need to purchase and where can I purchase the Super 44? Size? Clamps? Weld? etc. I appreciate the help and understanding.

I went to one of the local guys here in town that does mufflers and stuff on the side and he only charged me $100 thats muffler and him welding it in place. Took him all of 25 mins to cut the old out and put the new one in.
