Sorry for the late reply. Been doing mid-term exams. Just confirming that the list is correct. One built unit for me. That is unless I score a killer deal on a JK we've been eyeing up but that seems unlikely because trade value is going to be an issue.

Sorry I'm late to the party.

What's the cost for a built unit? Any "how to" install pics?

Right now, I'm just ignoring the CEL...but that's not a good idea going forward.

PM LocoCRD. He has finished the ordering and is currently taking payment, but there may be extra kits.

I just retrieved the SEGR from our mailbox. The package arrived in good condition and the contents look superb. I can't imagine that you are making any money by doing that. It looks as if it were made by a real widget manufacturer. Now I need to install.
Thanks.

Glad to hear you got it. I have my 14 year old son packaging up the parts to make him some gas money, but mainly we just do it for the CRD community. Happy SEGRing!

Thanx for the quick turnaround Loco. The Kit went together beautifully. The soldering was simple . The frustrating part was finding enuf wire colors. For striping, I found out a spray can beats a paint pen anyday ! Now just need to test and install.
I Had an iffy connection in the ground. I added an internal chassis ground to a connector bolt. . I plan to find some metal under the dash or use a ground strap to the case.

DON'T DO THAT!!!!

If I understand you correctly, you tied the internal electronics ground to the case?

The ground for the SEGR comes from the ECU. If you ground the internal circuit board electronics at the dash too then you now have what is called a "Ground Loop." Translation = Very Bad.

Wire up the SEGR per the instructions and you'll be happy. There are too many of them out there now that have proven this setup.

Note: It is OK to ground the box IF the electronics inside are not electrically connected to the case or box. A meter can confirm that there are no connections between the pins on the connector and the case.

Note # 2: The case is only metal because there is a resistor that gets very warm. The case helps keep this resistor cool. Plastic won't work for this application.

I'll be building the first batch of kits this weekend. Those who have paid for built boxes should receive them next week.

Any of these kits still available? I just got my CRD last night with 69K on it. The first thing I did to my Duramax was "Off Road" the EGR. If they are not available will just making a block off plate get me by until the next go round of kits without throwing the CEL?

Yes. Contact LocoCRD on PM; he should have kits left. And if not, I have extras, but I will be selling those as built and tested units.

ok ,I understand the problems with ground loop. Heres the poop. I was soldering and crimping each wire for the connectors. All checked out fine physically , except the ground. I tried like hell to remove the pin to redo, but cant figure it out! Today I bought another pencil iron with a smaller tip, hoping to resolder and not melt the connector body.During testing, the Meter shows continuity and the 12v & 4v test showed all is well. If there is a way to remove the pin, please inform me. only else is to redo the harness with new plug. :?

Which connector do you need to remove it from? If it is the one one the box, take a allen wrench that is larger than the pin and tap it out with a hammer. If it is the other connector try the same. I have never done it on the other end but have successfully removed pins on the housing connector this way.

Now that I've had the SEGR installed for awhile, I need to say a big THANK YOU to for putting forth such effort. I'm sure you don't make them for the money as I expect the price barely covers the costs involved. Since installing it I haven't had all the crap in the intake and I haven't had to replace any of the flapper valves. Nice feeling. knowing the engine isn't being deliberately sabotaged anymore.
At least when it's off-road
Thanks again.
