I have been battling a battery drain issue for a while now. If the jeep sits for more than a day, the battery is too low to start. I have been replacing batteries under warranty, for a couple years so I haven't worried about it. I am finally tired of replacing them though. I am going to get a platinum this spring but I want to fix the drain first. After digging into posts from a more than a year ago I found the F21 flash for the BCM. I thought all of the TSB's had been done, but I am going to run the vin again to be sure. I figure I will get the BCM reflashed anyway, but I wonder what else will get flashed in the process. I have a pre f-37 ecu, and I want it to stay that way, what are my odds?

Any advice? Has anyone had drain issues besides the bcm? I have nothing else connected like phone chargers, inverters, gps etc. Where is the BCM? I thought I would put a meter on the battery and disconnect the bcm to see if the drain went away.

And yes JL, I have tried the healing power of laughter. :D

No battery drain issue - I don't remember much about F21 except that it fixed a specific problem - mine was not recalled for that.

However - if you take it to a dealership - it's all or nothing - once it's connected to the mainframe it gets all of the latest 'fixes' wanted or not.

Try asking Keith over at GDE if he has a work around?
