Well, after a lot and I mean A LOT of thinking, I may just be selling my KJ. I am going to finish up the bumper...probably take another 3 weeks roughly and then put it on the market. I located a nice JK at a dealership fairly close and ever since I had a old YJ I have wanted to get back to the Wrangler. I will keep you guys posted as nothing is final yet and who knows, I may keep my KJ longer. I originally wanted to keep it for at least 15 years, lol. I am at 9 years right now...we will see. I am also going to do a few minor repairs that are on my list. Perhaps I will post it on here, just in case anyone wants a rust free 2002 KJ. :) One great thing about living in the desert 0 rust.
Like I said before this is still in planning stages but if all goes good, within the next 3 months I will have a newer JK. Then the real fabrications begin, muuuaahahhhhaaa

Man, I'm like you. I am between a rock and hard place trying to decide to get rid of my 06 CRD Limited that I've had since new, and buy a new Wrangler or wait till the 2012 models come out for the Pentastar engine. I live in Bullhead City, don't do much "serious" off road stuff and the CRD has been phenominal for my off road driving and comfortable enough to drive cross country several times. Have only 65k on it now and semi-retired now, so don't drive it much and probably won't in the future. Have a extended warranty that has another 3 years on it. But, as far as what type Jeep to get in the next year, can't decide on a Wrangler or another Liberty of course in the gas engine. Decisions, decisions.

Real fabrication is when you own a KJ, when you own a JK ya just order from a catalogue or copy what has been done for many years over and over. My :2cents:

Why buy when you can fabricate? :)

Since Chrysler has officially announced that they will build a JK-based pickup truck, I'm going to wait another 18 months and see how that turns out. By then, an added benefit will be the 3.8 minivan engine will be GONE.

All the fabrication in the world won't change the fact that at it's heart, the JK is a Dodge Caravan (unless it's a CRD conversion). Waiting for the 2012 JK or the Dakota in Jeep clothing would be the way to go.
