I just came back from a trip and left my CRD unused for 10 days. This is the longest time the car has gone without being driven. I expected the reported brake noise and transmission clunk problems when first driving.

Am happy to report: no problems. The jeep started right up and after waiting about 30 secs at idle I put it into gear without issue. The brakes did not moan either. The only thing I noticed was that the oil pressure light seemed to stay on for a second, or two longer than I have seen. Also, no exhaust smoking was seen when I got on hiway. Also, no oil or fluid stains were seen under on floor where car was parked.

That's a good report. Thanks! I don't think I've left my truck alone for more than 10 hours or so since I bought it last September. But it's going to be sitting for around 10 days when I go on my honeymoon in April. Nice to know that I don't have to give someone my keys while I'm gone.

LOL in the first 10 days I put 3000 miles on mine. So far so good. wekly off road excusions as well.
