I have been roaming the threads trying to get an idea of any issues that people have run into when lifting a KJ with a manual tranny.

Mine's an 04 with the 3.7 engine.

Anyone?

I don't now if theres much difference betwee manual and automatic but here is what I'm getting...
Front:OME927 Springs + OME NS131 Shock + JBA Spacer Plate + Teraflex Bumpstops + clevis lift
Rear:OME 948 Springs + OME N132L Shock + 2 extra iso's per side + Hockey Puck Bumpstops
People do variations of this by subing bilstein socks for OME, Bolier shims, and all kinda of other stuff.

<---- 04 with 5-speed

No problems here! In fact, from what I know it's better to have a manual tranny with larger tires. The gear ratios are a bit lower than the automatics, so there is less need to upgrade to 4.10's. I have also heard that automatics have a hard time shifting without 4.10's or reprogramming the revs/mile.

No issues at all. Not any difference between the auto and manual on the lift.

x2
07 with a six speed. Since we can choose our gears there is no guessing what gear to be in when you want power, unlike the automatic transmissions that are just guessing.

Have fun!

Great to hear! I need to replace bushings, the OEM CRD springs that worked for a while are sagged out now...

The only thing you would probably notice the difference with a 5 speed vs an automatic are automatic lockers... they act weird with the manual transmission.

Just returned from some of the best trails on the planet in and around Moab Utah. The lift and the 5 speed preformed flawlessly. :JEEPIN:

I have a 2003 Liberty Renegade 5 speed with a 2 inch lift. I have had no problems at all with it, its runs smoothly and I plan on going even higher with the lift...eventually :D

Made the call to Marlin. 2.5" JBA with uppers it is. Just found a set of 5 spoke Rubicons with new 245-75R16 Duratrac for 1k on craigs and new bushings ordered from the local dealer. This is going to be fun.
