My check engine light is on and it reads that theres something up with the torque converter solenoid. The rig shifts fine and runs good so my question is has any one run in to this before? Where is it located and is it had to fix and how much does one cost?

This is the tech section. Not the best location to post questions. You are more likely to get input if you post your question on the general KJ CRD page at viewforum.php?f=5

I recall some solenoid discussion there but not whether it was related to the transmission. You might try the search function but be sure to use to drop down box below the search term to target your search to that same general forum.

Sonax has a tool for rebuilding the Shift valves if your valve body needs it.
Before you go crazy, make sure the big plug on the side of the trans is latched down.
Next loosen up the latch lever, unplug and replug the big plug, worth a try to fix it.

Ok Thanks I'll be sure to try that ASAP. And I'll post the back with the results.
