Hi Guys,
During my KK project I had learnt the hard way, So I thought to start a thread where we can share all the tricks and tips regarding stuff we done on our KKs especially modification. Everything got pros and cons and it will be nice for all of us to benefit of the pros and prevent the cons or at least be aware of it and try to work around to minimize it.

So let me know what you think, let us share the tricks.

Simple trick..
Credit goes to another memeber who names escapes me....

Move your fuse for the 12 volt cigert lighter over 1 notch.
Now it wil stay on all the time...

Simple trick 2.
Credit goes to someone else not me.. Mike was one person who pointed this I think.
Reset your Gas Pedal everynow and then..... to fix shifting and slow starts or low rpm monovers
Ok the How To:I can not find the direction... Digger help..

To my knowledge it is all got to do with your accelerator sensors and their voltage, you will need a good scan tool for that. I can mail you the diagrams if you interested.

i remember reading this some where but cant remember exactly what they said to do. I am willing to bet that if you disconnect your battery for 15 mins and hook it back up it should reset just about every thing. good luck :rockon:

Disabling seat belt chime.

Here are the steps to deactivate the chime.

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, and buckle the driver or front passenger seat belt.

2. Turn the ignition key to the ACCESSORY/RUN position (engine does not need to be running), and wait for the Seat Belt Warning Light to turn off.

3. Within 60 seconds of starting the vehicle, unbuckle and then re-buckle the driver or front passenger seat belt at least three times within 10 seconds, ending with the seat belt buckled.

4. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position. A single chime will sound to signify that you have successfully completed the programming.

THANK YOU, my friends will be so happy, every time the chome comes on i shut off the radio till they buckle up, they hate me for it

I got this programming from a friend who works for our local jeep dealer. he also owned lots of jeeps. As I was told the programming would work with lots of different jeeps.

I have tried it and now I am happy when it comes to not wearing the seat belt while off roading.
it really works. for me it took me couple of times before I got it right.

My brother hates that seat belt chime! Thank you...now I do not have to hear him complain every time he gets in the Jeep.

I know the seat belt chime is annoying but here's an idea on making the chime not be annoying ... Wear You Seat Belt!!!

I even wore my seat belt when I was off-roading. Case and point, I almost flipped my Liberty off-roading a few years back. If it did go over and I wasn't wearing my belt I probably would have been severely injured. Rather be safe then sorry.

I do not disagree with you Mike...always smart to wear the seatbelt.

I agree with you.... seat belt is the most important safety item and need to be worn all the time. but there are lots of situations like river crossing or water crossing in general where you need to roll down your windows and remove seat belt...

I actually DID flip a liberty a few years back...flipped my Dad's '02 loaded liberty on an interstate in a black ice situation, seat belts saved all 3 of us in the car....now, mine doesnt move without 'em!
