I'm looking to get some tow hooks. Everone i've spoke to says that they will just mount right onto tmy frame, but when i look at my frame i only see one hole and squear hole cut out. There are 2 holes more to the outsiade of the bumper but the bumper body covers where the hooks would stick out.

http://www.amazon.com/Erickson-Chrome-K ... 93&sr=1-79
What should i do? Do u know of any other cheaper/better tow hooks?

Those will not work, need the ones made for the KJ to bolt on
also check out the fabrication section for an option
Lets hope you did not order those yet!

Tommudd is right, the tow hooks for the KJ are pretty specific to the vehicle. Going price for a set is around $90 +shipping if you order online and a bit more if you go thru the stealership. The tow hook kits with the "M" bolts mount the easiest with no front bumper cover removal required.

If the kit you get has the stud plate then you need to remove the bumper cover to install the stud plate in the frame rail on each side. You may want to double check with whoever you decide to buy from about the mounting hardware as "M" by themselves are considered "Unobtainium". Do a bit of searching for threads related to tow hooks and all the info. is there.

Thanks guys, i've been all over the net looking up Tow Hooks and EVERY single site has told me that their tow hooks will bolt right on no problems. But it sounds like they are all just trying to make a sale. You dont remeber where you gut your hooks from do you...possibly a site link? "Stealership", thats awesome!

Yep... You'll have to remove the bumper cover to get 'em mounted. Do yourself a huge favor and buy the proper rivet tool from NAPA, it'll make the job go a great deal easier when it comes time to re-install the front cover. The clips holding the bumper cover to the fender flares were the biggest PITA for me. Other than that it sounds/looks more difficult than it really is. I had mine installed in a few hours. Do a search here, there are plenty of how-to threads complete with pics. :JEEPIN:

I posted on your post on the other thread.
The "M" bolts are not available separately.
Only way is to buy a new set.
On the newer style bumpers, '05-'07, all the rivets are reusable. All you need is a flat head to pull them out.
It is not as scary as it sounds.
I too was afraid of having to take the bumper off, it is verrrrry easy.
