Chrysler I am sure is not happy. Why the Liberty? low mpg, resale value, or need for repairs. Before our 2010 liberty we owned a 2004 Liberty 4 cyl. We averaged 25 mpg and never had one problem with it. The resale value I agree was low but it was my favorite vehicle I ever owned. Is the 3.7 that bad! If it wasn't for a injury to my left knee I would still be driving the 2004 Liberty. But it was too painful to work the cluch pedal. Hopefully Forbes is wrong in that it is just their opinion and their way of looking at things. David

O read those poor customer reviews all the time and can't help but laugh! You've Got to look at a couple things...

First, the vehicles they compare it against..Honda pilot,Toyota 4runner,ect. NOT even close to the capability of the liberty..but they make the mass market happy.

Second, on what I said about the mass market, jeep lovers are a Niche market as it is. so they poll the regar market and of course end up with low scores.

Third, the things they usually complain about are..engin noise, poor rear seating room, mpg..funny thing is ive never gotten a conaint about my back seat and I love how the engine sounds! And of cOurse you will have poor mpg..with actual 4wd your not going to get 25mpg..ever!

Finally, in the break down of the scores almost every time the liberty rates high in cargo, off road ability, and ride quality. All the things that usually matter to a jeep owner. :SOMBRERO:

I was nervous what I got into when I baught my '10 liberty..but I love it and refuse to give it up! I keep it under 2k rpm and use the heck out of my cruise control and get 19mpg, that's good enough for me :)

Hope the knee feels better :JEEPIN:

Those types publications go by complaints and what do you really only see on the internet? Complaints.

Take anything in way of reviews and such on the internet with a grain of salt.Yes there will be bad ones but the majority will be very good. The local Jeep dealership here has a big sign in the service area wanting to buy '03-'06 KJ's and will give top dollar for one in trade-in,they sell fast here and for normally higher then blue book value.
