Did your transmission overheat light come on? I have never had mine come on and I do not remember anyone reporting their trans light coming on. I wonder what it takes to overheat the transmission and if the warning light comes on and I back off will there be any damage?
There are several stories especially in the trip report section and 4x4 section about trans light. In fact just this past winter I did a write up "An eff u to the Jeep gods" in which I chronicled my snow rally through the west desert and photos of where I stopped until the trans temp light went out. Also there was mention of it in the LJS 09 in Ouray thread when trans temp lights came on due to the high altitude and not keeping in 4Lo.
There's a whole LOST world beyond these CRD walls you know.
