I got rear ended by a Toyota car a few years back, discovered this last fall.

That's the inside of my gate.

I have a Detour's backbone winch mount but no longer have a winch. Since I don't really 'wheel the KJ anymore, I figured it was time to get the spare out of my back seat and somewhat safe to put up front.

So far it doesn't rattle at all (HUGE improvement over the swing gate mount), it barely impedes visibility, and still only squats the front end about the same as the winch did. But, I've only had it on there for about an hour. Time will tell.

I don't know, yet. I think mileage will suffer more than airflow to the radiator. I'm taking a 300 mile road trip this weekend, so I'll find out then.

Why didn't you just weld the tailgate.

Sorry, but this looks like grandpa Duke is coming down the road in his banged up '55 pickup..

If ya like it cool. In my useless opinion I think it looks like a pusher vehicle at the track or a starting vehicle for something out on the Flats.........
