There are no longer front shocks for the KJ. It won't fit in the IFS. The lift comes from the springs alone. When you start adding clevis and/or topplate 'extras' please do install Terraflex extended bumpstops. Your shocks will love you for that...

I'm an 04 so my understanding is that I'm fine for the brake lines. I'll go ahead and take your list and start digging to see if I want to order around or go straight through JBA. Thanks for all the help with this.

Just installed my lift on Monday. Here is my setup based on tommudd's and other recommendations.

OME 927 front springs
OME 948 rear springs
F4-BE5-D916-H0 front shocks
F4-BE5-6458-H7 rear shocks
JBA 1/4" top late
about 3/8" clevis
2 extra isolators per side (total of 3)
JBA UCA's
Teraflex front bump stops
2 hockey pucks per side rear bumpstops

With all the misc parts plus paying someone to build my fronts and feed my friend all day I'm at about $1400 (probably rounded high). Remember that the UCA's alone are $400 though.

Make sure you have access to a 90 degree drill for drilling the rear bump stop holes. Get some large washers to take up the gap in the rear top shock mount (if you use the same shocks I did).

I'm thinking about getting the Frankenlift II from All J. I'm willing to spend the $900ish, but I need someone to install it. Anyone near Cincinnati interested?

I heard you live in Toledo. Is that where you are referring to?

I'm sure he was! I think Tom has been at least "involved" if not actually doing the lifts on probably half the KJ's in the Midwest!! :JEEPIN: But .... He will expect you to help and not just do it for you. PM him. I think he MAY be having some kind of get together up here in the next month or so at his new place.

I haven't done a Frankie, but have done or helped do 3 OME spring/Shock lifts. If you buy the kit, PM Tom and see what he recommends all that you need to get/install, then bring it over sometime, I'm only probably 15-20 mins from you, I have plenty of necessary tools. We can do it in about 3 hours barring no issues. If the Frankie comes pre-assembled, it will be a breeze. If not, we will have to rent a strut compressor and that adds to time.
