Don't laugh. They are temporary, but they'll work for now.

She's been getting a little neglected recently so I did a little detail work.

Every time Im on the highway, the wind is so darn loud from the mirrors that I cant even have a conversation with the person in the passenger seat. 65+ and into the wind? Forget about even listening to the radio. I understand that its not very aerodynamic, but come on. I dont remember it being like this when I first got it.

Installed an extra iso per side in the rear and gapped the clevis 3/8" in the front. I was surprised at the difference!

Front yielded about 5/8" of lift, back about 3/8" or so.
I'm not parked on a level surface in both pics so it may be kinda hard to tell actual differences.

Loaded the groceries got in the jeep started her up and hit front open on the SS. NOTHING HAPPENED, it won't open either direction, doesnt even make a single sound. darn it!!!

Installed a new amplifier with the old subwoofers I've had for years. Loud. :)

Oh and I remembered that I had stock KK shocks in my mom's garage.

..... so we just put them on the KJ.

Worked great and restored the ride! The axle doesn't bottom out anymore (Very LOUD thumping noise)! Yay! My sister can't be happier.

Took the Jeep to the beach yesterday and today. It was about 2 and a half hours each way with a stop at WaWa. With a total of 420 miles over the 2 days, I averaged 17 mpg. Im pretty happy with that. Im used to getting 13 mixed.
Overall it was a good time.

Had LOF done (rolled over 50K on odometer) and alignment. KK was pulling to the right slightly after hitting pot hole a couple weeks back. Also had the ol' CB tuned and a new 3ft firestick antenna and mount installed. I'll hang on to the Little Wil magnetic mount as a back up. Used the firestick verticle doorjam mount. Still need to go back and water seal drilled area with some silicone. I forgot to pick up a quick disconnect for antenna so will do that next week on way to purchase next mod for KK.

Update on how the KK was used tonight. I turned it into a wild animal rescue and relocation vehicle. Got a call tonight from a friend that there was a turtle in her back yard and she didn't want it in her in-ground pool. Being a science teacher, I said I'd be right over and found this 20 pounder. Placed it in the back of the Jeep and it is now safely relocated to the local river with the rest of his/her clan. "Crikey", this should be good for a plate of cookies or brownies

Enjoyed a relaxing Saturday morning finally getting to clean the inside of the KK out from all the dust from a week of Utah wheelin' at Pastafari 2011. Nice to have a little time for the KK....
