255-70s are too narrow for a 9 inch wheel no matter what someone told you. Plus you can't lift a CRD as high as a gasser and even more problems, resell them and get some of your money back
Well I'll lift it the 2" I can with out any problems. Then try and fit a tire under it. and if not I will resell them.
Most tire places I have talked to said a 265 tire will work no problem 255 ehh not to sure on
