by now the 2005-2006 CRD's should be seeing roughly 70-100k miles?

anyone have 200k? and still going strong?

I grew up on diesel engines. My dad having Cummins and Powerstroke all my life. Since 2005 I have been fascinated with the CRD jeep but because I was in school could not afford it. Well last saturday I picked up an 05 CRD with 68000/mls.

IM LOVING IT!

Yes, but its not like once we hit 100k we had to install a timing belt. Basically this guy has 2 over a new jeep. Perhaps I should have said "on his second TB replacement" to keep you semantics Nazi's happy.

163K on first motor, replaced it with a 36K motor. Had a runaway incedent.

Yep, we want to hear more about that. The failure incident, finding a replacement engine and getting it to all work again, all the gory details.

I go t mine last year with 70k miles this year we are at 94k miles 20k plus of that has been on Waste Veg Oil. My wife starts a new job that is 30 miles further away. We could potentially be putting 35k to 40k a year next year. I will be changing the timing belt when she goes on vacation in August. hope that goes well.

2006 Liberty CRD -- Spare tire replaced with Veg tank, semi filter for veg, FPHE, Electric common rail line heater, fill vegetable oil tank every 3 days. ORM, EHM comes out in front of the passenger rear tire. Wife has new job and 20 mile round trip to work. I borrow her Jeep a lot and live in South Florida.

112k currently, needs AC recharged just today.

Blew turbo at 60k, engine 10 miles later due to turbo killing the oil feed to #1 cylinder. Got replacement engine with 60k miles, has been solid since.

Replaced belt only at 105k.

In the dealership for a worn through left front brake line-sounds like they have to take it completely apart to replace :(
