Yeah, he was wanting to sell it, lol…… :goink:

 before that...

i get real board with vehicles... and i've had this jeep for 5.. going on 6 years. so if i didnt do something drastic to make it feel like a different jeep i'd have to sell it!

i was going to sell it before to get a sporty car. then i bought a totaled 06 ninja.. fixed it then sold that and bought totaled 2001 mustang gt...fit it then sold that and bought a totaled 2004 pontiac GTO.. fixed it and still have it!. So now that i'm happy with my car situation the jeep is going to be staying in my life for a LOOONG time. :JEEPIN: only now it'll be a different shade of color.. and luster..

ok.. but these are the last pictures until it's completely finished  :JEEPIN: :frankie: 8) :goink:

the color is real.. military spec fleet color 'olive drab' via our PPG paint rep. i do everything myself.. assemble, disassemble, sand, prep, tape, mix, seal, spray base, spray clear, ect.. using PPG envirobase water born base coat with PPG flex n flat flat clear coat. so what you see is how it will stay forever. no chalkiness or fading :D Also i think i'm the first one to have an Army OD liberty! The door/fender/tailgate jams will all be sprayed to match.. the inner fenders/bumper reinforcements/cowl/everywhere that you dont see without taking parts off will be (or already is) flat blacked. I'm painting it now.. because when it's SFA'ed it'll be too hard to reach the roof  It was hard to get rid of the real pretty Inferno Red Crystal Pearl... but after looking at it that color for 5 years it was time.

Looks great! So you won't need to wax it or anything to protect the clear coat?

nope... with todays clear coat wax isnt really necessary. it just makes the clear shine better by filling/removing fine scratches in the clear. If you NEVER wax a car with todays clear it will never fade.. unless it actually breaks down in 20 years or so in extreme sun and heat.

That depends on the clear used and waxing or using some kind of protectant is highly advised.Brand new OEM paints are not the best, about middle of the road paint on quality and will fade if left unwaxed in less then 2 years. The fun in trying to matched faded paint, took longer then actually fixing the dumb thing.
