Will 245/70/17s fit on a stock 2007 Jeep Liberty?

On stock rims, it would be a very tight fit. Probaly going to rub. That is a 30.5"x9.7" tire. Hard to fit much over a 29.5" diameter on a KJ without a lift. Will have to pound pinch weld, trim fender liners, and may still rub. Rubbing will get worse as the OEM springs start to sag more and more and more and more.

Thanks for the input! So, I guess its either get 235/65/17s again or get 16 inch oem rims then get 245/70/16s. Tires for 17s are just too darn much but then again buying new rims and tires would be just as expensive :(

The Goodyear HP's are complete crap. One has a busted belt and another is cupping. I'd rather not take the chances of having a blowout behind the RV on our 2k+ mile trip to WY on the 5th.

Any good suggestions on places to order/buy tires from?

Check local craigslist and/or good old fashioned classifieds. Find you a set of TJ Moab take-offs. I have seen quite a few sets around here with good tires (50% or more tread) still mounted for under $500 for a full set of 5. Then you get 16" rims, better tires for the trip, and less expensive tires to replace in the long run being 16" instead of 17".

245/65/17 are the same size as 245/70/16 if you want to go that route. :2cents:

As for places....

Also look at Firestones A/Ts they are a really good tire. My dad is running a set on his 01 F150 4x4.
