So just popped some hella fogs off my dads dodge and need to know how to wire them. now each light has two wires coming off of them ones a ground, and the other went to a little fuse type box thing... :? and off of that comes one wire, now my question is, where the hella does it go from there? Straight to the battery or what. Please gimmie some good insight on what to do. Heres some picts of what I got.

Ground to....Ground. As far as the power wires. Run a wire from your battery to a relay then to the lights. Then run your switched wire to activate the relay off/on.

Google for a diagram, plenty around. Or tech/how to section im sure has a diagram. its pretty easy and will reduce the change of fire and blown fuse.

Alright this is what I did... I took the ciggy lighter out and used the wires that ran to that to install a switch, and ran that wire to the lights. No the ciggy lighter had two wires, a red one, and a orange and black (im assuming thats the ground). Now when I turn the switch on the little indicator light comes on, but.. no fogs.
So my question is, will that work, and if so could they not be lighting up due to blown bulbs? Ho can I check the bulbs with a sure thing wire up? Can I just ground the ground, and put the wire from the fog straight up to the battery term? God I hate doing this stuff! :furious:

1ST I would delete the double post in the General section...trust me its only a matter of time before someone post "wrong topic section'

You need to run a wire from the positive of your battery to the "30" side of your relay. Then run "87" to the lights and ground the lights. Get a fuse tap and tap into the radio fuse, run a wire from that to your switch, and to your switch to the "86" side of the relay. Ground the "85" post off the relay. Get wire loom and clean it up and your done. Make sure you fuse both the switched side and the wire to the lights cloest to the battery or power source as possible.

How stable are they, being mounted with just one bolt through the plastic bumper? Do they seem to be holding pretty solid?

I used a piece of sheet metal under the bumper with pretty big washers on the top and bottom. So its pretty stable.

Dj S, they look really nice. thats where my lights are mounted on my 06 renegade. never looked at how they were mounted under the bumper but they seem to be pretty stout.
