What do you guys use this for? (the piece of plastic just above where the map lights are with the paper clip symbol on it)

I used to put my police courtesy card there but I always forget it's there so now I clip my knife to it.

Just wondered

I've hung the CB mike by it once or twice. Business cards a few times. That's about it.

I use it to hold my Northwest Forest Pass and Discover Pass for Washington State Parks. That was they're always right there and I never forget to hang them on my mirror.

My 2011 has it. I think its a skyslider only thing. I barely use it, usually for business cards or something. I like keeping my truck clean inside so I tend to hide things in the glove compartment/center console lol

Yeah, I believe it depends on whether you have a Skyslider or regular sunroof.

Could be a sunroof thing too. I honestly haven't seen many KKs with a sunroof.

I use it for the same ... Parking lot tickets and sometimes checks while I'm on my way to the bank.

I dunno what the rhyme or reason is to whether or not you get the paperclip thingy. My whole entire front dome assembly is smaller and different. Actually the same thing on my sister's '05 KJ.

Here's a picture of a '08 KK without sunroof.... no sunroof switch, yet it has the paperclip thingy:

2009 Sport, this is the one I have...

2008 Sport, hmm

Looks like if you don't have a sunroof, you get the little dome light, no paperclip thingy... unless you have a Limited, in which you get the dome light, including paperclip thingy, regardless of whether or not you have a sunroof or not.

Both of mine, 08 and 11, were Limited.

That makes sense. So not only does does it matter on the roof style, but the trim too. I wish I had the 2008 center console though. The outlets would be really nice to have. I don't even know if that was an option in the 2011s. I think some people added them on their own.

ive used it for business cards and random papers or small park maps.

But on this topic...does any one else have SMALL area on the drivers side, next to your right leg on the center console. There is a small cut out with an elastic black strap..NEVER used it..seems like lazy Chrysler again.

I think they all have that. Someone told me it was for a newspaper, but I'm not sure. I think Rachael uses it for her cb, I don't remember I haven't been in her truck in a few weeks. She'll see this eventually and confirm lol. I personally don't use it for anything. Like I said before I like to keep the interior of my truck looking clean and hide everything I can. I was thinking about the cb idea for when I get 1, it's a pretty good idea....maybe that's the original purpose.

Yeah, I love it. I use it for my CB or Power Inverter, whichever one I decide to put there. :)

I've only ever used it once. For directions I had printed out online. It doesn't seem to be too useful
