Only have 1,900 miles on the 2011 Liberty. A few things I have noticed that I would like to change are:
1. I don't like the stance or rake of the KK...the way it sits so much higher in the front than the rear. I would like to lift the front only to remove the rake and achieve a more level ride. What would you recommend?
clevis lift or boiler shims
2. The Liberty seems to lean towards the driver side, seems to be a common situation from looking at other Libertys.
common
3. Suspension feels very soft, tending to bottom out on bumps/dips/small pot holes.
aftermarket springs help. my KK used to nose dive while braking and handle very sloppy
4. I have read that after a short time the stock springs tend to sag...is this true?
yup
I have looked at the JBA site, would the Adjust a struts give me the more level look and ride I am looking for?
yup
I also read somewhere that I could slip an extra spring isolator on the rear driver side of the Liberty to help correct the side lean....anyone had any luck doing this?
yup
Would the JBA adjust a struts also firm up the front suspension to relieve that soft feel?
yup but there are cheaper alternatives that will work just as well
Would the change of rear shocks also help in the soft bottom out ride or do I need to replace the rear springs to a heavier spring (keeping in mind that I am not looking to raise the rear of the Jeep).
firmer shocks could help
For a daily driver would there be any advantage to going with a better shock than the standard Bilstein shock or would the shocks with reservoir be worth the money for the ride. Don't have plans to do any serious off roading..maybe a few trails, but nothing that the stock KK wouldn't handle anyway.
you dont need the reservoirs
For those who have added the JBA adjust a struts, did you do them yourself? If so how easy was the install? Or is it better to pay to have it done?
easy cheesey if youre a little mechanically inclined
Any other good recommedations as to lift kits to look at that would achieve what I am looking to do?
OME
Thanks for the assistance, I appreciate your time,
