I am telling you what is on the screen:

Application 1.055
Database RS12-N207 0807
Gracenotes 881
SDS 153326
System 68160083.8

In addition their was a sticker on the top of the radio (today I saw it when the iPod cable was installed that said 1.055.

Mine reads

Application 9.807
Database RS6-N 106 0642
Gracenotes 1120
SDS 153326
System 6816 006 3.5

The only thing we have in common is the SDS (what ever that is) ... Can anyone break down what each section represents ...

My Gracenotes used to read 881 before I ran the update

I know,
Application - Firmware
Gracenotes - Song Title Database

Something just doesn't make sense ... I found the Mopar iPod kit for the 07-down Liberty and for the 09+ Liberty ... So what happen to the 08's? It just doesn't make any sense!

I found the kit for the 09 on eBay for $89.99 and free shipping ... I'm going to buy it and see what happens.

I'll let you all know how it turns out as soon as I get it and install it.

So I got a call from the dealer where I purchased my liberty. They had asked how the recent service appointment to install an I-P-O-D INTEGRATION DEVICE (they talked like they never heard of an iPod before). I let the person from the dealer know that the installation went well, but that I needed to get the correct part from another dealer and have it installed when the dealer i purchased the Liberty from removed their FM Modulator iPod part they installed.

I got a call immediately from the Parts Mgr and wanted to resolve the problem. After speaking to him I explained that in January I asked which part I would need in order to operate the iPod from the Touch Screen of my radio. I was told that this was not possible because Apple and Chrysler were in disagreement about using iPods in their vehicles. I was also told it was some sort of copyright issue.

He was very interested and wanted to know exactly whom I spoke. And also noted when he can sell a part he wants to do so.

After a phone call back from him he refunded to cost of the part that I paid at another dealership (the FM Modulator was thrown in for free from the salesmen - so essentially that was wiped away when I went and purchased the correct part). He did go one to say that the parts guys thought I wanted to transfer the music from my iPod to the MyGig System and that was not possible therefore thought I didn't want the part ... but went ahead with installed the FM Modulator part.

Please note I gave the parts dept and the salesmen the part number I wanted several times - - So yes I knew exactly what part I wanted.

And also please note that the iPod cable listed in the accessories brochure for the 2009 Jeep Liberty is the FM Modulator part - Not the cable talked about in this thread. So I know the parts guy ordered the only iPod cable according to the because and disregarded the part number I gave him.

Bottom line is I was given a refund on the part I was to get for free in the first place. So I can't argue with that.

If you have an iPhone 4 and having problems with Bluetooth or connect through the USB in the console then you can do 2 things!

1) Update the Mygig Software (This will also give you Travel Link)

Mygig Software:

Read the post on this page:
http://www.jk-forum.com/showthread.php? ... -RHB/page3

Then download this update:
http://www.mediafire.com/?fx6hx7eae1zys5p

2) Update the connect software (this is what fixes the bluetooth audio problems and interfacing to a iPhone through USB)

Uconnect software:

Read this post first!
http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/2011-r ... ost1382457

Then install this file:
http://www.mediafire.com/?ym7cudem8c9lb96#1

I have the 430N RHB in a 2011 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited. So these are the files that i used and it worked awesome! If you have a different model you may have to find the spefic files for that model but I am sure they all exist!

Happy listening!

I have this in my '11 Liberty and had no problems with install... I however dont get the iPod tab on the touch screen I have to go to media and then to AUX and select the iPod... after that its all controlled on the screen and the steering wheel. The only problem I have is occasionally when the track changes the music hiccups for a second, is anyone else having this problem?
