It could be that you have to flip two wires in the harness. This happened to my brother. he switched two wires in the harness and the high beams started to work.

heres what i mean

make sense?

I tried doing this but immediately encountered a problem. I couldnt figure out how to get the wires to release from the plug. Does anyone know how to get them to release, either on the factory or DDM part of the wiring?
I think next weekend or tomorrow Ill go to radio shack and get some alligator clips and try to come up with the right configuration of wires.

im sorry i didnt see this post earlier. i had the 6000k H13 bi-xenon HID's and they were a light blueish color for my headlights and i got the 5000k H10 Fog HID's and they were considered a bright white. they worked beautifully! i never had any problems. only until i went wheeling in some muddy water and some think mud at Rausch Creek that they started to eff up. so i removed them and put back in my halogens. but at first when i ordered the kit the same problem happened to me, the wires were coming loose in the back of that piece and i had to use electrical tape and other things but nothing would work so i sent it back. got a brand new one a week later, installed it and it was fine. lit up the road like the fourth of july  im sorry i really with i had seen this earlier i could of helped you :(

Mine are actually REALLY white. Im pretty happy with the color. What Im not happy with is the lack of Hi beams. Hopefully I can figure that out and get it working before I head up to Connecticut and Massachusetts.

yea so you must have the 5000K. i loved them. since im lifted 3.5", i was always blinding people and they'd flash me. but I'd only have my heads and fogs on! so id flash my brights at them and they would have a mindf**k :juggle: i actually found a glitch in the truck itself: if you pull back the lever while your heads and fogs are on, it'll also turn on your brights too! but if you push foward with the fogs and heads on, to put on your brights, it will turn off the fogs to save power, well at least mine does. i was really amused at my finding at out :) :ROTFL: :-)r

That's not a glitch DoubleK, that's how they're meant to work.

Pulling the lever back (towards the driver), simply flashes the high-beams, and does not effect the fogs.

Pushing the lever forward, turns off the fogs, and turns on the high-beams.

Remember the actual purpose of fog-lights (besides augmenting our terrible light output); driving in fog. Ever turn your brights on in the middle of fog? Or rain or snow for that matter? Highbeams will reflect off of the fog particles in the air - and directly back into your eyes. Hence, if you're using fogs, JEEP doesn't use high beams. If you're using high-beams, you don't need your fogs (in actual fog anyways).

Well, I drove the my family to dinner tonight and it took about a half hour to get there, mostly on back roads. During that 30 minute drive, I was flashed well over 25 times. This is even after I aimed my lights. I dont even have the brights to put on and people were freaking out. This we the first REAL experience Ive had with these lights and to be honest, Im thinking about taking them out. While they definitely make it a lot easier for me to drive, I cant help but feel bad for the people driving their little honda civics with my lights blinding them.
I really hope someone can convince me otherwise or else this will have been a failure and more importantly, a waste of 80 bucks.

Your the 1st to actually think about the other drivers when your using HID's in the wrong housings. You can never aim them properly and that is why they are illegal unless you get the correct HID housings.

I wouldnt feel so bad if I was living somewhere REALLY rural with very little traffic, but I dont.

I regret getting these instead of putting hellas on the bumper. I would do that but thatll be another 200 bucks easy by the time Im done with everything.

you are going to have to get used to it. you own a truck. you are sitting higher than most cars on the road. so naturally your headlights will shine in their eyes whether you like it or not. the HID's just enhance that even more. i drove around for 2 years with HID's, trust me, you get used to it. you just flash um back and go on your merry way. don't feel bad because you're not purposely being mean you're just making it easier to see at night. its a win win, better vision, better driving :)

^ What she said. I get flashed all the time by angry idiots in their lowered Honda Civics.... with STOCK HEADLIGHTS so it's just something I have gotten used to over the years.

One of these days I'm gonna find a quality HID kit and use the heck out of them. :)

I sit alot higher then you and never get flashed, granted my headlights are still legal and they are aimed correctly.I have zero problems seeing at night with halogen bulbs.

I would flash them back... if I could. :furious:
My brights still dont work and I cant figure out why. I tried switching a few of the wires and with differnt combinations I would either get only lows or only highs. I couldnt get them to be able to switch with the light stick.

Right after I installed my HIDs the very first car I drove past flashed me.

Since I have aimed them down, I have not been flashed ONCE.

I am not lifted, but I honestly think I could aim my lights higher than they are currently.

Don't forget to aim your Fogs also. I was getting flashed for the HID fogs until I lowered them as well.

FYI I'm a woman. No worries :)

And NewjerseyKK if you have such a prob with these, return them and get the Bi-Xenon Kit. DDM is really flexable with returns. I had to return the harness and ballast. They had no problem sending me a new one. And i used them too!
